At Pier 49 At The Newport

The Newport is delighted to announce the appointment of William Schorkopf, C.E.C. as Executive Chef for The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina, and Pier 49 Seafood & Spirits at The Newport.
Chef Schorkopf oversees all food and beverage production for the 133 room hotel, including all banquet events taking place in the hotel’s 4,000 sq. feet of meeting space and the hotel restaurant, Pier 49 Seafood and Spirits.
He comes to The Newport from the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center. His culinary experience is rich and diverse, with stints as an Executive Chef in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. His superbly prepared dishes combine the best of traditional New England cuisine, with subtle and distinctive influences from around the globe.
Chef Schorkopf is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute.
